Rustic Hues, an interior design studio, is a family of creative minds put together. It was manifested by our Founder & Principal interior designer Aakansha Arya Suri, when she realized how design was getting more commercial & less creative. We are here to not only beautify your space with furniture & décor; but also to understand the needs & requirements of our clients, by providing innovative design solutions.
Our designers conceptualize & design the space keeping in mind its function, usage & utility by incorporating the brief, personality & essence of their Clients.
We believe that a space/site is always the Home/Office/Cafe of Clients’ first and after that it’s our Design. As soon as a client enters their space, they should be able to connect with it, and have a feeling of belongingness.
Our core value is to be ethical in whatever we do, be it small or big. For us each project requires the same amount of time & effort. It might not be our first, but it would definitely be for our Clients.

Founder & Admin Head
Anita is a post-graduate in Political Science from Jai Narain
Vyas University, Jodhpur. She has been a trustee and General
Secretary of Marwar Education Foundation since inception in
the year 1999 and it’s President since the year 2009.
She has keen interest in women employability and empowerment.
She has been invited to speak and interact on this subject by
many leading organizations all over India including with large
groups of lady Sarpanchs. Because of her firm belief that
education, by definition, is based on ethics, her journey as
an educational entrepreneur has been filled with unending
hardships, risks, sacrifices and struggles.
Continuing her spirit of empowerment and ethics, she
co-founded Rustic Hues with her daughter Aakansha in 2018. Her
past experience brings immense value to the Studio, and her
creative forte brings-in much needed innovative & aesthetic
touch. Anita’s Out-of-the Box approach always brings in new
dimensions to any design project.
She’s the rock solid foundation of Rustic Hues & her
endeavours have been recognized and honoured by several
organizations.
Founder & Principal Interior Designer
Aakansha is the face & form behind this small interior design
studio we fondly call Rustic Hues.
As a child she was very creative & always inquisitive. She did
her graduation in Science from Delhi University and an MBA in
Marketing from the USA on a scholarship. She worked in NY, USA
for about a year and decided to come back home to be close to
her family. She started working in Sales &
Marketing/Advertising in Pune - Mumbai in a reputed company.
After a year she realized that even though she was good at
what she did & had no complaints, still she was not enjoying &
found stagnancy in her creative growth.
She decided to quit; did a 2 year Certificate course in
Interior Design with distinction. It was quite tough at times,
but she was just loving what she was doing and that’s when she
knew she had found her calling.
In 2018, she co-founded Rustic Hues with none other than her
mother, Anita. Along the way there have been many hardships
and still continue to have, but then with Rustic Hues they
couldn’t have been more happier than when we see smiles on our
clients face as they see their dreams unfolding into reality.
Aakansha and team worked for developing the first Sattviko Idea Cafe at IIT Roorkee. We were looking to develop a simple,but elegant and useful place for the students and faculty of the IIT Campus,a place that inspires. Aakansha and Ravi got the design right from the first step. What we envisioned is what they delivered in design. Their work was nothing less than fabulous and was done exactly in the budget that we had told them on the first day. I have no doubt that they can deliver any top class work within the time frame that they tell you on the first day.

Aakansha & team worked on our house's presentation for a very long time to get the ground work ready. A perfectionist to say the least, they put in their heart and soul to ensure all the execution happened on time and as infact even better than the design made. The vibrant colors along with rustic design gives it a unique touch to our house. I love our house to the core and it's only happened because of their dedication towards designing a house which not many come up with.

I used to approach interior designing with a lot of cynicism, always felt this is just an ‘aspirational service’ rather than a need in the construction / renovation process. So, when one of our friends and my wife suggested I speak to Aakansha, I must confess I called her ‘half-heartedly’. I clearly remember our interaction on that day which lasted for 40-50 mins approximately.
The pitch was so professional, very well-articulated and full of creative ideas that we signed up the same day!
